Brooks Koepka Shuts Down PGA Tour Comeback Rumors

Brooks Koepka isn’t going anywhere at least, that’s what he says.
After Fred Couples claimed Koepka wanted to return to the PGA Tour, the LIV golfer was quick to respond. Speaking at a press conference ahead of LIV Golf Singapore, Koepka made it clear that everyone else seems to know more about his future than he does.

“Fred texted me after his comments got out, but we don’t really talk details like that,” Koepka said. “I’ve got a contract here, and I’m focused on playing better, winning Majors, and helping my team. We’ll see what happens after that.”

Couples had stirred up the rumors by saying, “I talk to Brooks all the time… and he wants to come back.” That statement sparked a wave of reactions, including Phil Mickelson calling Couples a “low-class jerk” in a now-deleted post.
For now, Koepka is staying put. And with the PGA Tour and LIV Golf still figuring out if they’ll ever work together, a return doesn’t seem likely anytime soon.
