Trump’s Tesla Blunder Had Colbert Cracking Up

Stephen Colbert didn’t hold back when talking about Donald Trump’s latest attempt to buddy up with billionaire Elon Musk. On The Late Show, Colbert called out what he saw as a weird mix of politics and business a Tesla promo right on government property.

Trump even got himself a Tesla at the event, though he admitted he couldn’t actually drive it. Turns out, saying the name wasn’t any easier for him either.

“He almost got the name right,” Colbert joked, playing a clip of Trump calling it ‘Tesler.’

Colbert wasn’t letting that slide. “Honest mistake,” he said. “He just mixed up the two words most associated with Elon Musk: Tesla and Hitler.”

Brutal.

Colbert had plenty more to say in his Tuesday night monologue.
